"Jenine Shereos's delicate image brought the big moment from among the innumerable works filling the gallery, one single leaf veined sparsely, but the silky threads forming the outlines from human hair and horsehair. The work as if one after man would be the imprint of the recollection of the nature from an age: manages elementary strength."

"Jenine Shereos's lovely "Emergence" features wires tightly wrapped in red thread, bursting delicately from the wall like exposed blood vessels; farther up the wall, Haard leaves the thread off the whitish wires, suggesting a landscape's horizon line."
--Cate McQuaid, The Boston Globe

"In Emergence by Jenine Shereos, a sculpture of red thread reaches out to viewers like a gnarled hand from the gallery’s walls. Coiled tightly around strands of wire to give it shape and form, the thread resembles the knotty branches of a bare tree or the scarlet, interwoven complexity of veins and capillaries. However interpreted, Haard’s three-dimensional composition invites greater appreciation than the stick figures one associates with simple “drawing.”
